Frequently asked questions

What does GSM mean and why does it matter?
GSM is grams per square metre — the weight of the fabric. A 135 GSM interlock is a light summer match jersey; a 300 GSM contact interlock is built to survive rugby. Weight drives feel, opacity, durability and price, which is why we publish it for every construction.
Which fabric should I choose for a football match kit?
The 135 GSM micro interlock is the default match-kit base — light, smooth-faced and it takes sublimation cleanly. If your players want stretch, the lycra single jersey is the usual alternative.
Can every fabric be sublimated?
Sublimation bonds to polyester, so polyester-rich constructions print best. Cotton-rich fabrics generally will not hold a sublimated print — the exception in this library is the double-face piqué, which is built specifically to accept it.
What if the fabric I need is not listed?
Constructions that are not listed are not currently in active production. Send us the specification anyway — we will tell you whether we can source it or suggest the nearest construction we already run.
Are the weights exact?
They are nominal weights with a ±5 GSM production tolerance where stated. That tolerance is what makes a repeat order six months later feel like the first one.
